I'm from Italy and I almost daily read your topics and find them very interesting (using Google for translation, I do not know german! ), but today I'd like to share my experience with you all that I had this past August in Nomos Glashütte. I wrote a dairy of my trip in an Italian forum and there are plenty of pictures. I hope you like them, I really had a wonderful time and hopefully I'd like to go to Glashütte again in the future.
mille grazie per il tuo racconto, è grandioso! Non ho capito tutto (non so parlare l'Italiano si bene...), ma credo que ero un viaggio molto interessante per te
Thanks for sharing your diary with us! It took me a while (I don't like automatic translations, so I tried to understand it on my own), but it was worth reading! And even if some of the pictures are a bit 'mosse', it doesn't matter, it's always great to see these large machines and those tiny movement parts. From what I understood from the text you could convince the guys in 'orologico' that NOMOS is really a manufactory today great! Did I get it right that you had a small problem with the security people on one of your first evenings, when looking into the Lange&Söhne building? The same happened to our forum's member 'waltherpfalz' (see here) when he was taking photographs late at night time (i.e. 9:30 p.m. ) Obviously they do not trust people walking through Glashütte in the evening and having closer looks at the factories... By the way, I think he lived in the same flat as you did, at least the interior including the bike somehow looks familiar to me.

Hi fjord,
there are at least 4 Happy Nomos owners in "orologico", but in Italy everybody seems to go after big watches like 41-42 and over diameter, so for many of them Nomos is "interesting but small" . Yes, I had the same problem near the L&S building, only that I do not speak german so I had a hard time getting to understand what the man was shouting at me !! The flat was the same and I was there the next 2 weeks after 'waltherpfalz'. It was an fantastic tour and I hope to go to Dresden as well in the future (I visited it only on the week end with our famous Nomos salesman Cameron).
thanks for your photos and report!! A nice "déjà vu"!
Did you work again so long eveery day in the Service Center of Nomos??
Greetings to "Stippi Number 41" from Number 40! WaltherPfalz
Hello WaltherPfalz,
Yes I did work in the Service Center of Nomos. Some of the watchmakers were a vacation but I had a very good time together with Tim, Rico and Anne. I must also thank Chronometrie Nomos for their patience, because I was often in their workshop shooting photos everywhere and to everyone. A great Company with great & nice People working in it!!
